1/17/1917Dr. Maruthur Gopala Ramachandran, (M.G.R.), Indian film star, politician and charismatic Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, was born at Kandy, Sri Lanka. He was also the founder of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhaga (AIADMK).
